I also created spreadsheets and graphs for the Aquatics department that track attendance and revenue at the four city-operated pools in Georgetown.
- I learned what professional relationships look like and how to interact with coworkers, supervisors, and employees effectively.
- I planned and implemented a special event called the Pirate Party. The Pirate Party is a pool-centered event at the Recreation Center Outdoor Play Pool for children aged 2-8. Each child was given a treasure map that lead them to 13 different games to play around the pool. After playing each game, participants were given a sticker and once they collected 5, 10, or 13 stickers they could go to the X on the treasure map to get fun prizes. The event also had 4 raffle drawings and other coupons and promotional items from local businesses to give away.
- I learned about how city government functions and gained insight into how city budgets are made and used.
- I gained experience in customer service at the Recreation Center front desk where I helped sell pool passes to guests.
